Hickling and The Surrounding Area

The glamp-site is situated in the outer reaches of Hickling, a peaceful little village nestled into the Broadland landscape. Here, the Norfolk Broads begin to meet the sea, with only vast wildlife rich marshlands in between. Marsh View is only 4 miles from the coast and the blue flag waters of Sea Palling Beach, where you will find sweeping sands, a pretty seaside village with post office, fish and chips and family run amusements. Waxham, Happisburgh and Cart Gap beaches are all other fabulous choices when you want the sand to yourself. The Norfolk Broads offer a great place to get out and sample life afloat and there are a few different options of how you might like to mess about on the water from motor or sail boats, canoeing or paddle boarding. If peaceful walks and wildlife are your flavour then you will find the local area criss-crossed with plentiful footpaths and quiet lanes; not to mention the fabulous walks, boat trips and bird watching at Hickling Broad NWT Nature Reserve within walking distance.
